The Chinese company has helped push the Indian wearables segment to go mainstream with some of its budget-friendly offerings. Its latest offering is Mi Band 6 that can do a lot of things.
Design-wise the tracker might not attract but it boasts some impressive features like a pulse oximeter. The display is bright, vivid, and responsive. Overall, the tracker is lightweight and emphasis being a general well-being gadget.
It tracks steps, distance, and does heart rate monitoring. It tracks sleep accurately and even works while you are asleep. It also does all-day stress monitoring plus and helps you do breathing exercises. There are dozens of workout modes to choose from, both indoors and outdoors.
The tracker gets a heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor to keep track of blood-oxygen levels. The battery life on the Realme Watch 2 Pro is also good and can last for up to 14 days. Charging is quick too.
With a square-shaped 1.75-inch color display, the Realme Watch 2 Pro lets you track step counts, calories burnt, and more. It comes with 90 sports modes, including run, walk, strength exercise, football, horse riding, table tennis, and more.
The tracker is light and comfortable, irrespective of the large display. It includes GPS as well for accurate workout tracking. It can be paired by an Android or iOS device. It can also control medial playback and snap photos on the phone. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, sedentary reminder, drinking reminder, meditation, IoT control via the Realme Link app, and Find My phone.
The Amazfit Bip U Pro features a 1.43-inch LCD color display which is bright enough to be clearly readable even on sunny days. It boasts over 60 sports tracking modes. These are Outdoor running, treadmills, walking, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, yoga, cricket, baseball, basketball, and so on.
You also get a bunch of health-related features with the inclusion of heart rate, SpO2, sleep, breathing tracking, and much more. It includes a built-in GPS tracker as well.
You also get plenty of health-related features and support for Alexa, which has limited functionality but can come in handy when it works. The core experience is still similar to the previous Amazfit wearables and the Bip U Pro could offer the best in its price bracket.
The Honor Band 6 is the successor to the Honor Band 5 with some big changes and improvements. In a way, the Honor Band 6 has the same design DNA as the Honor Watch ES. The Honor Band 6 features a 1.47-inch AMOLED display which makes it pretty attractive. Most fitness bands have a tiny screen.
Further, the Honor Band 6 is packed with a Spo2 monitor, a 24/7 heart rate monitor and the wearable can track up to 10 sports modes. In terms of health-related features, you get Sleep tracking with the TruSleep algorithm that offers detailed data of sleep durations, stages, sleep suggestions, and more insights. There is also female cycle tracking on board.
The Honor Band 6 is rated to last up to 14 days on a single charge with typical usage and 10 days with heavy usage. As for the smart features, you get the usual media control, weather updates, calendar events, alarms, remote camera shutter, and notifications from the phone.
The Oppo Band Style is Oppo’s first attempt in the budget fitness tracker segment and it almost comes close to being a perfect one. It includes an AMOLED display, a dozen sports modes, and also the SpO2 monitor. However, it is priced slightly higher than the competition and the battery life is only average.
The heart rate and sleep trackers are also pretty accurate. The SpO2 monitor is capable of tracking all-day blood oxygen levels and it actually works 9 out of 10 times.
Apart from the fitness features, there’s the usual slew of smart features for a band that includes notifications mirroring, music control, silent/reject calls, and camera shutter. The Oppo Band Style is also capable of tracking swimming thanks to the 5ATM water-resistant rating. As a bonus, you also get a free additional strap in the box.
Samsung’s second-gen Fit wearable tracker comes with improved battery life, AMOLED touchscreen display, and has support for over 90 workout modes. It also brings features like hand wash reminder which is pretty handy in the current times. As for the display, the Galaxy Fit 2 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 450 nits which means readability won't be an issue.
On top of that, you also get 70 downloadable watch faces to personalize the function and look of the fitness tracker. There is also a function key at the chin of the tracker which can be used to wake up, go home and cancel function.
On the battery front, the Fit 2 can last up to 15 days on a single charge.
The Redmi Smart Band offers a comfortable fit and there is a solid color LCD screen with a fairly big 1.08-inch screen size. It supports touch and gesture support with a capacitive button. The touch response is not so great but will get the job done more often than not.
The fitness tracker can offer accurate heart rate tracking and sleep tracking metrics. You can also get notifications on the Band from multiple apps. It looks pretty stylish too. It lives up to the expectations, and the price tag of Rs 1,599 is the icing on the cake.
